As mentioned in an earlier post, I've been collaborating with some other filmmakers to make a short documentary, featuring Luthier James O Halloran, based in here in Co. Cork. Finally after a few months in the works the piece is finished! This particular short documentary is the first in a series that fellow filmmaker and photographer PJ Rankin (http://www.dropin-theocean.com) is producing, focusing on artisanal crafts in Ireland.
Here it is:
While working on the project we also pieced together a small behind the scenes video of PJ performing and recording the soundtrack to the film. This not only served as a BTS video, but also as a small teaser for the documentary itself. On day we received massive help from (yet another) fellow photographer, Simon Curran (http://www.iamacosmonaut.com) who captured some beautiful footage of the session. I also must thank Evan at the Oval Bar in Cork for letting us shoot, in what is a great little pub in the heart of Cork City.
The next instalment of the series will be shooting very soon, watch this space!
